The Ceramic is a TRUE ceramic coating, rich with silica, providing a 2-3 micron thick layer of ceramic protection over your paint. Think of it like a sacrificial layer that takes the damage INSTEAD of your paint. Contrary to popular belief it is not scratch proof, but rather provides a non-stick surface for ease of washing and long term gloss.
